The churches of the village
Today they exist three churches. The two are dedicated in the Agia Anna and the third in the Virgin Mary. The old church of Agia Anna in the center of the village as well as the church of Virgin Mary are built in royal type, while the new church of Agia Anna is built in royal type with cupola.

The Old Church of Agia Anna
The old church of Agia Anna was built according to sign that exists above its entry, in the 1878 and it is found in the opposite site of the main road of the village, at the front of the main entry that leads to the traditional part of the settlement.

This church constitutes the most appreciable building of the village from the archaeological view. An old picture of Agia Anna that was found in the region under certain stones made the residents to build this small church in the place that is found today.

The name of Agia Anna is connected with a lot of marvels, which were narrated by residents of the village, related with treatment of ill persons and other. Before the Turkish invasion even Turks believed in her charm, recognizing the force and the charm, which she had from God.

It is said that is the third time of building this church, above the ruins of the old churches. In this church there was found also a ancient picture, likely from the 16th century that depicts the Saint John
.
Entering this beautiful and frugal church somebody can feel something surrounding him like its humility and its simplicity. Wooden stakes supports the roof of the church. The icon stand is small.
In the exterior side of the church somebody can see the coarse columns of support. The thickness of the walls is big enough. This gives an advantage to the church. It makes the church cool during the
Summertime and hot during Winter.

Near this church of Agia Anna there was found a despotic accessory, which is kept today in the museum of Saint Lazarus in the region of Larnaca.

The new church of Agia Anna
The second church dedicated in the Agia Anna was built few years before the Turkish invasion at the East Side of the village. This church was built with the help of the Archbishopric of Cyprus, with money collections and voluntary work of the residents of the village

On the surface of the walls of the church you can see beautiful murals that depict scenes from the life of Christ and Virgin Mary. Concretely exist the following murals:

The birth of Christ and Virgin Mary, christening of Christ in waters of river Jordanian, "Kimisis" of Virgin Mary, the Crucifixion of Christ, the Resurrection of Christ.

On the icon stand of the church somebody can see also the new picture of Agia Anna, who is covered with embroidery, homage to Agia Anna, from certain women that accepted the benefactions of Agia
Anna, via the grace of Jesus Christ.

Apart from the pictures of Christ and Virgin Mary on the right and the left of the "main" Gate, somebody can see also the pictures of Saint Ioannis Theologos, Archangel Michael, "Koimisis" of Agia Anna, Saint Ioannis of Precursor and Saint Demetrios.

The day of feast of Agia Anna in the ninth of December a small "festival" is organized while in the 25 of July, a day where it is honored the "sleeping of Agia Anna", a sleeplessness night takes place.

The church of Virgin Mary of Eleousas

A third, rock built church dedicated in the Virgin Mary the Eleousa was built in 1991 in westwards of the village. This church was built with voluntary work of residents of the village and from money collections in the village. The initiative for the construction of temple belongs to Mr. Anastasios Samuel and Kyriako Christodoulou from Agia Anna and Mr.Andrea Andronikou from Psevdas. These persons shouldered the responsibility of recovery of the pecuniary sum, which was required for the manufacture of church.

The church was manufactured with bricks and was covered externally with stones of Agia Anna. In its interior exists plaster for manufacture of hagiographies.

A short background for the way that developed the idea for the manufacture of church of Virgin Mary of
Eleousas reports the following:

Some soldier, the name of, which remains unknown, during the Turkish invasion, was enclaved with his other colleagues from the Turkish troops. They were in danger to be arrested, thing that would have unanticipated consequences for their life. It requested therefore the Virgin Mary to help them to be rescued from the hands of the intruders and to builds one small church, where he wanted.

After rescued, with the first occasion, he built a small church and put there the picture of Virgin Mary and an oil candle. This church is found little outside of the village, next to the main street.

After the statement of the members of committee for the construction of Temple of Virgin Mary Eleousas and the wish of residents of Agia Anna, it has been erected beyond that small church, the church of
Virgin Mary of Eleousas.
